According to NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) records, more than a quarter of the fires reported between 2014 and 2018 occurred in homes and hotels. 

Worse still, more than three-quarters (77%) of civilian deaths are caused by fire, while almost three-quarters (73%) of all reported injuries are due to house fires.

A reason of this could be because the spread of fire might have a chance to accelerate due to components such as felt, fiber, fabric and foam used in home textile.
